GES Cancels November 5–6 Mid-Term Break for Basic Schools

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the cancellation of the two-day mid-term break scheduled for basic schools on November 5 and 6, 2026.

According to a notice issued by GES Management, the decision forms part of efforts to recover instructional hours lost during the recent industrial action.

As a result, all basic schools are expected to remain open and conduct normal academic activities on Thursday, November 5, and Friday, November 6, 2026.

Teachers, students, parents, guardians and the general public have been urged to take note of the directive and be guided accordingly.

The notice was issued by Daniel Fenyi of GES Headquarters, who thanked the public for their cooperation and continued commitment to quality education.
